The Texas Author Network
More than an event. A year-round home.
TEX.A.N. connects Texas authors, readers, and literary communities through year-round opportunities, meaningful events, and a network built to help independent voices thrive. The San Antonio book fair is part of it, not the whole of it.
Why independent authors matter
Texas writers outside the major-publisher pipeline tell stories the rest of the country rarely hears. They deserve a place to be found.
Why readers should care
The next book you love might come from a writer two towns over. Discovery shouldn't depend on a chain store's front table.
How the network helps
Profiles, books, events, and updates in one statewide home, so authors stay visible and readers always have somewhere to look.
Discover. Connect. Celebrate.
Five ways into the network, whether you read, write, or help the community around Texas books thrive.
On the shelf
Books worth framing.
Every cover here belongs to a Texas author in the network. Browse the shelf, then meet the writer behind the work.

The next gathering
Come to the River Walk.
For one weekend, downtown San Antonio becomes a meeting place for Texas writing. Cypress-lined water, lantern light, and a long row of author tables along the most famous walk in the state.
Browse books, meet the writers behind them, and spend two days with the people who make Texas literature. Authors load in the day before; readers, you are simply invited.
With the support of
Our patrons & partners.
Like the supporters behind a museum or a small press, these organizations keep TEX.A.N. free for authors and open to readers.
An invitation to lead.
There is room for the organizations that want to back Texas indie authors. Be the first name behind the network.
